Ungarische Rhapsodien: Lyrik und Musik LIVE.
Orsolya Kalász (Poesie) and Kinga Ötvös (Musik-Performance)!
Hosted by Martin Jankowski.
Orsolya Kalász has lived in Berlin as a translator and poet since 1995. Her poetry collection Das Eine won the Peter Huchel Prize in 2017. In 2021, she and Monika Rinck were awarded the Erlangen Literature Prize for poetry in translation. She writes her own poetry sometimes in Hungarian, sometimes in German, and translates her own texts into the other language herself, which she sees more as a variation.
Kinga Ötvös is a shape-shifter and vocal acrobat based in Berlin. With degrees in vocal performance and theatre studies, her art operates at the intersection of various fields, including music, theatre, drag, and performance art.
The event will be held in German and Hungarian (with translation)!
Tickets are €5 (reduced price €3) and available only at the box office in the Maschinenhaus.
