On Searching and Finding: These fascinating poems cannot be reduced to a single category; they are very different—Alexandru Bulucz’s poems were written in German and fit into a more German tradition of poetry, while Corina Bernic’s were written in Romanian and translated into German—her poems tend to be more minimalist, whereas Alexandru Bulucz’s take a more narrative approach. Ioana Cristina Casapu, on the other hand, will read from her book about Berlin: stories of arriving, searching for—and sometimes finding—a place of one’s own, of loneliness, of small moments of happiness, of life in the big city …
