OSTPOL BERLIN Festival of Central and Eastern European Artists in Berlin

Europe under tension: In times of war and discord, artists and authors from Berlin, along with their German and international friends, engage in an intense dialogue with the audience, to envision a shared utopia, of multifaceted collaboration beyond what divides us, through an open, intergenerational and cross-genre literary dialogue, that projects a multilateral vision for a new cultural reality. The six-day long OSTPOL Berlin Festival brings together Central and Eastern European Berliners, with German and international colleagues. To enable the defining voices and discourses of these languages in Berlin to secure a lasting place in Berlin’s cultural setting, we contribute our networks with Berlin’s Central and Eastern European literary scenes as well as international contacts and years of experience in organising exemplary multilingual literary events (symposia, festivals, workshops, readings, etc.).
